Dr Egg goes to the Top End

For the past few days Dr Egg's Catherine Fargher has been in the Northern Territory for Wordstorm 2014, the Top End's writers' festival. It was a brilliantly hosted and welcoming festival of writers in the tropics. Catherine was invited by Festival Director Panos Couros to be part of the Digital Kids strand of the program. She featured on the panels: 

New Work grant for Dr Egg Adventures

The Dr Egg Adventures’ writer and creator, Catherine Fargher, has been successful in the latest round of Literature Board funding from the Australia Council for the Arts, receiving a New Work grant for established writers in the category of Digital and New Media Children’s Literature. This will go to further developing the prose and interactive writing for the The Dr Egg Adventures. 

Laurine Croasdale drops in

It was a day of ideas at Dr Egg, with children’s author Laurine Croasdale popping in to talk about writing, publishing, and the emerging market for digital children’s books. Laurine has been published by Penguin, Pan Macmillan and ABC Books. Her titles include Trivia Man, Red Golf Balls, What Truly Counts and most recently, Surf School and Surf Sisters. She is currently the head of training at the Australian Society of Authors.
